關於尚和歌仔戲劇團【尚和歌仔戲劇團】1995年仲夏成立於港都高雄，深受各界肯定，不但蟬聯多年榮獲高雄市傑出演藝團隊殊榮，更於2010年獲得文建會分級獎助計劃補助，是一具有實力遠征各文化殿堂的高雄在地團隊。
尚和歌仔戲劇團自創團以來，一直以著實的腳步，一步一步地發展茁壯，成長足跡遍及各個角落，無論是社區推廣、校園巡演、廟會活動、文化殿堂演出，處處可見尚和的獨特與用心。有感於歌仔戲實為代表台灣揚名國際表演領域、獨一無二的根源藝術，劇團因而更努力地自我躍升，於2002年遠征美國洛杉磯、聖地牙哥、夏威夷等地展演「聲樓霸市」，及2004年至法國巴黎巡演「流星海王子」，皆載譽歸國，成果倍受肯定。
為逐步實現理想，尚和定期創作劇本，推出新戲；如「洛水之秋」、「聲樓霸市」、「流星海王子」、「天河喜鵲橋」…等戲碼，廣受觀眾支持與好評。近年來，尚和更嘗試開墾演出新場域，2006年「夜遊神」孔廟首演，成功營造出歌仔戲戶外情境劇場的創新演出形式，而2007浪漫唯美的「醜女的婚禮」、2008原住民愛情傳說「巴冷公主」、2010台語音樂劇「白香蘭」、禪風歌仔戲「玉琳國師」、2011歌仔戲前衛劇場「牟尼之瞳」，創新演出題材與樂風，呈現歌仔戲嶄新的藝術風貌；2011更以風靡之作台語音樂劇「白香蘭」成為高雄第一支首登國家劇院團隊。
此外尚和更以教育團隊為自許，期許邁向一個質藝均重的歌仔戲教育演出團隊。
Introduction to SunHope Taiwanese Opera TroupeFounded in Kaohsiung in 1995, SunHope Taiwanese Opera Troupe has received great acclaim both in Taiwan and abroad for its performances. For successive years, SunHope won the Outstanding Performance Troupe Award of Kaohsiung City. In 2010, SunHope obtained a prestigious grant from the Council for Cultural Affairs.
Since its inception, SunHope’s performances in schools, temples, cultural centers and communities in Taiwan and abroad have inspired innumerable viewers with its distinctive dramatic style. Over the years, SunHope has centered much of its efforts on promoting Taiwanese Opera in Taiwan and the West through its remarkable productions. Much of these efforts have come to fruition: Its performances have been extremely well-received. SunHope launched its first overseas performance in 2002 and since then, the troupe has traveled to Los Angeles, San Diego, Hawaii and many other places to perform
Sheng Lou Ba Shi. In 2004, SunHope was invited to perform
Falling Star in Paris. Such achievements have led the troupe to be regarded as celebrated representatives of Taiwanese traditional opera.
In order to realize its ideals, SunHope regularly writes new scripts and puts on new productions. Some of SunHope’s latest productions include The
Autumn of Lou-shuei,
Sheng Lou Ba Shi, Falling Star, Tian He Xi Que Qiao and other performances, all of which received outstanding reviews. In recent years, SunHope has experimented with new theatrical locations: The outdoor performance of
Ye You Shen at the Confucius Temple in 2006 is one good example of using novel backdrops to create unique dramatic effects. The use of new subject matter and musical genres in the productions of the romantic and aesthetically pleasing
Chou Nü de Hunli (2007), the aboriginal love story
Ba Leng Gongzhu (2008), the modern musical
Bai Xiang Lan (2010), the biography of a Buddhism master
Qiok Lim Gok Su (2010), and Shakespeare’s tragedy
Eyes of Your Mind (2011) presented viewers with fresh interpretations of Taiwanese opera. This year, Sunhope will be the first local troupe in Kaohsiung to perform at the National Theater with its highly acclaimed production,
Bai Xiang Lan (2010).
Now, SunHope not only conceives of itself as a performance troupe but also as an educational group aiming to reach out to the audience by placing equal emphasis on high performance quality and artistic endeavor.
