The Tai Yu Beaux Arts Salon, established by artist Yen Ding-Sheng, on Daya Road, Chai Yi City in September 2007, focuses its attention on modern Taiwanese contemporary art. Tai Yu invites people to attend its various exhibitions and salon discussions offered throughout the year. As a result of the creation of ancillary merchandise, Tai Yu has also developed into a brand name of its own, and is a unifying platform that connects art forms together with life.
As a modern, contemporary art space, Tai Yu Beaux Arts Salon elects to embrace an extremely simple, fundamental concept as its manner of display, and uses the heart to feel the beauty of each moment of life. It endeavors to portray the philosophy of combining art as an attitude of life to help people enhance daily existence. Taiwan, itself, enjoys an unusual Island Culture with different levels of people, a great diversity of geographic attractions, and an abundance of humanitarianism, all woven together.
At Tai Yu, we believe that art is a respectful attitude towards life and to all that is, and is involved in an everlasting reflection about life itself, in its entirety. Anyone who steps into the gallery will discover that everyone and everything is so closely enjoined to nature, as one and the same.
The Second Floor Art Gallery, at Tai Yu Beaux Arts Salon, is the main stage of contemporary Taiwanese art. This area highlights how Tai Yu views art and life. The emphasis of the Exhibition in the First Floor Display Area, is to bring out Tai Yu’s original designs in sculpture and pottery. This display shows the connection of art to life with the various possibilities of interpretation. The VIP Mezzanine is styled after a Literati Tea Room. It is used for events at various times, where artists, artisans and connoisseurs of life introduce different viewpoints for a better, mutual understanding of the living concepts under discussion.
In short, Tai Yu is an on going valuable experience combining art and life in many ways and mediums. Welcome to Tai Yu Beaux Arts Salon!
